The first coming of Jesus Christ came about because of his great love for us. He came to show us the way back to him. He also came to let us know that his laws still stand. We are to abide by them. He said I did not come to abolish the laws but to fulfill them. Matthew 5:17 basically letting us know that everything that was prophesied about him by the prophets are true and he is here to fulfill everything prophesied about him. So the bible is true.
In the New Testament found in Mathew Jesus also said " I did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. Jesus first coming was laying the groundwork for letting us know, it is he who will judge us, it is he who will raise us up from the dead, it is he who will forgive us of our sins, it is he who heals us, it is he who will redeem us back to the father. He said all powers have been given him from the father. Matthew 28:18
He came in the flesh and dwelt among us as the bible states. He showed us tolerance and a good example is his crucifixion. He showed us love by healing and enforcing the fathers word. He showed us how to be meek and humble. Isaiah 53:7 like a lamb he was lead to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers he opened not his mouth. He fed thousands who came to see and hear him speak. This statement says to me that nothing is impossible with him and he also told us, Matthew 19:26 if we believe all things are possible.
He died and was raised from the dead letting us know that he truly has the power to also raise us up again. John 10:18 No one takes it from me but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. So Christ first coming he preaches for us to repent because the kingdom is at hand. He is sacrificed and raised from the dead and returns back to the father. Now we are left here on earth but we are not alone. He tells us that we now have the Holy Spirit which will guide us in all truth.
So the second coming of Christ will be for those people who have listened and believed in him and who honored his commandments. The bible said that if we love God then we will follow his commandments and do his will. Not our own will trying to be man pleasers but pleasers of Jesus Christ. His second coming comes after the tribulation here on earth. Some people also believe that they will be taken up to heaven and avoid the tribulation all together. Wrong, the bible states that if Jesus did not come when he did their wouldn't be anyone left on earth. In revelation it gives an account of those who were beheaded for not taking the mark of the beast nor his name nor his number. Those will be arrayed in white robes because they overcame the devil. So let's be vigilant in our faith toward Christ. Satan is busy preparing his tactics against Gods children so let us also prepare by putting on the whole armor of Jesus Christ yeshua, because he is coming soon. Sooner than we think. Let's not fear what man can do because all these things were told to us. Those who are found worthy and whose name is written in the book of life. Those who has no sin, and sin was not found in them will reign with him for 1000 years. Some people believe that after his second coming many will have a chance to get things right with God. Well I find that hard to believe. The only chance we get is being right here on earth. Only those who partake of the first resurrection will be saved. The second resurrection is strictly for judgement. If I am wrong please feel free to school and correct me. In past readings I understood that the world will be at rest. Satan is locked up and unable to deceive the nations. Jesus second coming is for his people who all believed and was washed in his blood. Make no mistake, he will not be gentle and meek to unbelievers. Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of almighty God. Zephaniah 2:3 says" seek ye the lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgement; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lords anger. Zephaniah 2:15 &17 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness.
And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.
The third coming is when Satan is let loosed for a very short time to deceive the nations who will fight against Jesus. Satan will gather his army only to be struck down by the king of kings and Lord of Lords. Now I have wondered who are these that make up the Devils army. I sometimes wonder are they those people whose names are not written in the book of life. Only those in the first resurrection are saved. So once we die that is it, no second chance. Anyone who par takes in the second resurrection is found guilty and has a permanent place in fire and brimstone the unquenchable Fire.
